Want to print your Instagram pictures on paper or any other tangible medium? If you have an iPhone, you can directly print using Apple’s own free downloadable Printic app. You can create beautiful photo books, photo prints, posters and calendars from your iPhone. If you’d prefer to use your local Walgreens Photo Center, that’s an option as well.
Aside from Instagram you can select pics from your Facebook and Dropbox accounts. The prints will be delivered within 7 days in Europe, North America and Asia. Printic has partnered with the best photo labs around to ensure great service for your photos. All of the prints are edited using traditional wet labs and are personally checked before delivery.
Aside from Apple’s own Printic app, there are other online resources that comes highly recommended when it comes to having Instagram pictures printed on professional-grade photo paper, canvass, sticker paper, post-it note pads, postcards, ceramic tiles, refrigerator magnets, and other physical surfaces. Among these resources are Social Media Print, PostalPix, CanvasPop, Blurb, Artifact Uprising, InstaGoodies, Hatchcraft, Artflakes, ImageSnap, Postgram and Pernickety Prints.
Of course, if you want to get the best value for your money, you can’t beat Wallgreens Photo Center. Unlike most of the pricier options, the Wallgreens apps is available not only on the Apple Store but also on Google Play and Windows Phone. It thus works not only with iPhones but also with Android and Microsoft mobile devices. The app itself not only features ‘QuickPrint,’ which accesses the company’s photo processing services, but also ‘Refill from Account,’ ‘Store Locator,’ and ‘Balance -Rewards.’
With Walgreens’ QuickPrint, you can have the photos from your phone, Facebook, Instagram and Walgreens.com albums printed straight from your smartphone. Then you can have it picked up at your nearest local Walgreens outlet in about an hour. It also comes with ‘Photo Editing,’ a full suite of editing tools and filters you can use on your photos.
By clicking on the QuickPrint option on the Walgreens app, you can even opt to have your pictures turned into Photo Cards, Posters, Canvas Prints and Collage Prints, Canvas Prints, and Wood Panels.
Best of all, Walgreens is famously very budget friendly. A print with borders of your Instagram pic for instance will cost as low as $0.20. Wallet prints cost $0.99 each, scrapbook pages $5.99 each, and wood panels from $14.99. And if you act now, you’ll even get a 40-percent discount!
If you want to get any cheaper than that, you’d probably have to do the printing yourself. Access your Instagram account with your PC or laptop then either save or take screen-captures of the areas you want to print. Re-size and edit the downloaded pictures and save as JPEG, PNG or some other image file format which you can print on your home computer.
Use the best quality paper you can find. Of course, you can be sure that the quality won’t be as good as that of one done by a professional photo processing and printing service. But at least, you’ll have something tangible to hold and display in your room.
True, with Instagram, you can have your own online photo album. But sometimes, a digitized copy stored somewhere on the cloud just won’t do. Sometimes, you want the assurance that comes with having something you can actually touch with your hands.
