Before the advent of computers and the coming of advanced messaging machines, most people opt to own their own fax machines. Today, new products are introduced in the market that are not only affordable but are a combination of printers, scanners, and faxing machines. More households own fax machines that enable them to easily send business and personal faxes around the world.
Before you buy your own fax machine, you must know how to use it.
-
Sending a domestic fax
1.1 Place documents face down in the document feeder found on the upper part of the machine.
1.2 Dial it just like a normal office phone using the numeric keypad: 5 digit number for on-campus; 9 for outside call line and then 10 digits for a long distance call authorizing the use of your long distance number.
1.3 Begin the transmission by pressing “start”.
Five is the maximum number of pages in the document feeder at one time but if you have a larger fax, you can add more pages to the document feeder as the stack goes down. The additional pages are placed facing down in the document feeder with the same fax transmission. Do not send fax in two parts for some pages might get stuck when passing through the feeder.
